Annie Klier Newcomer is a Shawnee Mission, Kansas poet and author of Comets—Relationships that Wander. Inspired by a Key West Literary Festival challenge from Jamaican National Poet Laureate Kwame Dawes, she has written over 500 consecutive daily haiku. This fall, her poem about her blue-eyed Aussiedoodle, Summit, appears in the Kansas City Review, and her two Ten Minute plays debut in Columbia, Missouri’s Starting Gate New Play Festival produced by Talking Horse Productions.
